Job Summary
The Vice President of Billing & ERP leads the enterprise billing systems, CenturyLink’s corporate system specific programs, and IT support. The VP has direct responsibility of system integration, usage mediation platforms, enterprise billing platforms, electronic billing and payment systems, and ERP Financials & Human Resources systems; as well as Supply Chain Management Corporate Systems, and Support & Integration. The VP owns the relationship with the leading business stakeholders and ensures that the technology function meets and exceeds expectations and service levels.
Job Description
• Develop and maintain billing system and corporate system roadmaps
• Provide thought leadership to enhance and advance billing platforms and corporate systems
• Lead all technology innovation, automation and consolidation initiatives associated with billing systems and corporate systems
• Primary interface to critical business partners and stakeholders that the billing systems and corporate systems enable
• Lead all Implementations of new platforms, components, interfaces, and modules associated with billing systems and CenturyLink’s corporate systems
• Retire legacy platforms, improve ease of use and continue to simplify the CenturyLink operating environment
• Provide counsel to the CIO, Information Technology leaders, and other business leaders to identify opportunities to apply new technology, present changing and emerging risks as it relates to product status and capabilities, standards and protocols, and other external factors that may influence or impact IT Systems and Processes
• Develop and manage the appropriate organizational structure to meet business objectives, assess and monitor continuous program achievability, as well as escalate issues as appropriate
• Identify, manage and mitigate company risk associated with contract non-compliance.
• Develop intercompany plans with product divisions and operational departments who will be supplying products and services to satisfy contract deliverables.
• Professional development and management of key staff members through effective goal setting, performance management, training opportunities, coaching, and mentoring
• Contribute and influence effectively the strategic business plan within the team to achieve planned goals/objectives
• Billing responsibilities include
◦ IT support for enterprise billing.
◦ Invoice fulfillment
◦ Global taxation
◦ Billing system consolidation and integration to ordering systems, portal and ERP.
◦ Mediation platforms that include usage collection from the network; transformation and rating and integration to the billing platforms
◦ Least cost routing solutions
◦ Carrier access billing
◦ Electronic billing and payment processes
• Global billing – LATAM, EMEA, APAC which includes the complexity involved with the various tax and region regulations for the entire global footprint (60+ countries)
• Support of additional corporate efforts that require usage mediation development in order to consolidate the network, retire legacy switches and implement new network technology
• Product customization, and developing implementation and verification procedures to ensure successful installation of systems hardware/software
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience
• 12+ years of related experience including leadership experience, managing and/or directing a complex, dynamic IT workforce, including off shoring and outsourcing of work/resources
• Experience creating and executing strategic changes in large-scale development efforts
• Successful track record of leading integration and/or migration of legacy IT systems; BSS transformation
• Extensive experience managing programs that are implemented internationally
• Demonstrable ability to lead others in a large, highly complex and ever-changing organization
• Strong track record of identifying and leading changes in large-scale development efforts
• High level of comfort managing competing priorities, crystallizing ideas and thoughts into plans and activities, handling ambiguity constructively, and rationalizing on strategic and managerial levels.
• Demonstrated sense of urgency, accountability and holds same standards for the department. High achiever, results-oriented, and decisive hands-on manager with strong project management in a technology environment and business acumen.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s Degree with 8+ years’ experience plus 3+ years of managerial level experience
