Job Summary:
As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for financial analysis in iHeartMedia’s Total Traffic & Weather Networks Financial team. You will be part of a small, close-knit group that reports to the Director of TTWN for iHeartMedia. This would put you in close proximity with key decision-makers including C-suite executives, giving you substantial exposure to the inner workings of a Fortune 500 company. Your day-to-day responsibilities would involve maintaining a close relationship with business partners at TTWN, while employing your financial skills to identify business risks and opportunities.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Directly support the VP and Finance Director of the TTWN Finance team
• Participate in and lead financial variances for forecast, budget and monthly close packages
• Act as point of contact for all TTWN operations, responsible for understanding detailed financials, key variances and identifying risks/opportunities to the business
• Publish weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, and provide business perspective
• Build process improvements that identify and track key operating metrics that can be leveraged to develop planning tools
• Create financial models to support P&L forecasting, annual budgeting process, and evaluation of strategic business decisions
• Interface with business, finance & sales leads, accounting partners and IT to ensure accurate data and information gathering
• Perform analysis/deep dives on profitability, revenue trends and other periodic ad-hoc analytical projects
REQUIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION
• 1 to 3 years of analytical experience in financial planning, operations or any other finance-heavy division
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Powerpoint with a focus on speed and efficiency
• Experience with Tableau, Salesforce.com, Thinkcell, VB and SQL a plus
• Must be a self-starter, team-oriented and critical thinker
• Experience working in high paced environment with tight deadlines
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a willingness to learn
• Professional presence with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive and able to balance multiple responsibilities and tasks
• Bachelor’s Degree required; References required
