ABOUT THE GREY TALENT & INFLUENCER TEAM
GREY’s Activation, PR and Talent & Influencer team is an innovative department within GREY. The team comes e from a variety of backgrounds including talent/influencer procurement, public relations, experiential, entertainment, strategy/consulting and creative. The team is client-facing and works on a variety of accounts and new business pitches/projects, collaborating daily with GREY’s integrated teams across account, creative, strategy, digital, social, production, and media.
The Talent & Influencer team specifically works to identify, negotiate and manage talent/influencer partnerships across the agency. This includes a wide-ranging scale of programs, from fully-integrated, 360 degree celebrity-driven campaigns to social media-focused partnerships with digital influencers.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Talent & Influencer team has a depth of expertise in developing talent partnerships. Our approach includes strategic development, creative concepting, identification and proactive outreach, offer packaging, negotiation of contracts, management and optimization. Talent can range from A-list celebrities, experts and athletes to YouTube creators and social media influencers, to well-loved characters or user-generated content requiring licensing deals.
The new position of Account Supervisor, GREY Talent & Influencerssupports all talent-driven partnerships. This position reports in to Laura Konopack, Senior Vice President.
Responsibilities include:
• Lead celebrity, athlete and influencer needs across the agency as a key driver within the GREY Talent & Influencer team
• Lead talent strategy and outreach, packaging offers, negotiation for all types of talent deals
• Lead contract negotiation and facilitation with attorneys – including internal GREY business affairs, outside counsel, and partner representation
• Communicate effectively with talent representatives
• Attend key meeting with internal account teams, clients, and partner agencies
• Counsel on talent engagement process and usages for a variety of programs
• Bring high-impact creative ideas to life through an integrated approach leveraging talent
• Collaborate with internal departments, as needed, including account, production, creative, music, finance, talent affairs and legal (both internal and outside counsel)
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in talent procurement and/or talent representation, with personal experience working on a large variety of talent deals. Ideal candidate will have an integrated marketing agency (with a focus on talent procurement), talent agency/ management firm, or talent affairs department background
• Experience with contract negotiations; familiarity working with legal teams and talent representatives
• Respected and connected within the entertainment, social influencer and/or sports communities
• Understanding of integrated marketing and public relations
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced/multi-tasking environment and navigate the unique needs of the agency’s clients
• Strong communication skills and detail oriented
