NBA MOBILE COMMUNITY MANAGER

What We Need:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing, and experienced candidate to be our Community Manager for NBA 2K Mobile. Reporting into the Studio Head at Cat Daddy Studio, this position will administer the NBA Mobile online community, including being an online presence prepared to host, broadcast and showcase relevant information across social media platforms, various external forums/blogs, and promote in-game and experiential events. He/she will also be responsible for taking part in trade, developer, and consumer shows with community presence, including on-site support and travel.
What You Will Do:
• Create, manage, and execute community and social marketing strategies for Cat Daddy – specifically working with the NBA Mobile team
• Community advocate – support the developer team to engage with the user community, understand their concerns and relay to relevant teams
• Work with PR and Marketing on social content plans and execution
• Work with and manage external vendors who support our social and community efforts
• Track and report KPIs, being able to interpret and understand broad community sentiment and social opinions; pro-actively inform other departments of potential issues and offer solutions
• Identify and assist key influencers and in turn working with them to build initiatives
Who We Think Will Be a Good Fit:
The Community Manager for NBA Mobile will be presented with a unique opportunity to build valuable relationships with our core fans from the ground up. We are seeking someone with a wealth of social media experience, great writing skills, and innovative content ideas relating to the NBA community.
In addition to managing customer relationships, and working closely with studio leadership, the Community Manager, NBA 2K Mobile will support the broader objectives of the Marketing team. We are seeking someone with an eagerness to learn and contribute to the long-term evolution of the mobile team within NBA 2K.
• Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of community engagement or social marketing experience preferably with a background in the gaming industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills – and the ability to adopt appropriate tone and style as it relates from tweets to blogs to forums
• Must have a portfolio of published, professional work, ideally in a variety of mediums (e.g. social media, long-form, etc). Professional editorial is a plus
• Experience and practical knowledge of all major social media platforms, and additionally the supporting applications. Practical experience is required in creating engaging platform-appropriate content
• Ability to pull together analysis-based recaps
• Proficiency with photo and video editing software (e.g. Photoshop Premier), MS PowerPoint, and overall knowledge or experience with a variety of other mobile, console, PC, and tablet game titles is a plus
