Responsibilities
• Work directly with product teams to build software tools that track and analyze how customers work with Autodesk’s Web, Mobile, and Connected Desktop applications
• Utilize the latest front-end software development tools to deliver compelling data-driven, real-time dashboards that help product teams understand adoption and use of their products
• Build statistical software models and scripts to discover patterns in the data and communicate these results to the broader management and product teams
• Work with product teams and management to articulate analytics needs and identify opportunities for new analytics capabilities
• Identify patterns and automate data access from a variety sources including desktop, web, and mobile product feeds and business systems
• Define, test and deploy analytics dashboards with real-time data to monitor key metrics driving business and product decisions
• Work with cutting edge analytics tools, statistical software packages to develop queries and scripts, and front end development tools
• Utilize graduate-level research and analytical skills for data engineering work in order to deliver internal data products
Minimum Qualifications
• Master's Degree (Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field)
• At least 1 academic term of graduate-level coursework/internship in the following skills:
◦ Utilizing Big data processing technologies: Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Pig Latin, Hive, NoSQL Databases (Casandra, HBase) Spark, Scheduling tool OOZIE to build enterprise data sets/aggregations
◦ Experience applying data visualization tools including Qlikview, Tableau, Geckoboard to visualize and analyze how customers are using Autodesk’s products
◦ Utilizing Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) for cloud-native applications to store and retrieve any amount of web-based data
◦ Distributed version control tool GIT for tracking changes and coordinating team tasks
◦ Applying Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, EMR, CloudFront) towards various cloud computing models: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
◦ Applying statistical methods in data science: sampling distributions, point and interval estimation, parametric and nonparametric hypothesis testing
◦ In-depth knowledge of computer science principles: programming languages (C++, Java, Python) and problem solving/implementation using programming, algorithms, and data structures
