Position Summary:
Example of a day as a Resort Ambassador: Working within Welcome Experience (morning), Food & Beverage (mid-day), and Retail (afternoon) daily providing friendly and efficient service to all Guests. Working in each department during critical operation periods, this position will require an adaptable, energetic, and knowledgeable MC who embraces a high level of guest service in all aspects of job role.
Primary duties will include providing a smooth entry for Guests, Resort knowledge, processing and preparing food, and promoting and tagging merchandise. In all elements of this positon this MC must maintain a safe, efficient, well presented and friendly work environment.
Responsibilities:
Seasonal position to be hired on for Spring Break and Summer Seasons.Typical shifts will be 8 hours, starting in Welcome Experience, working mid-day in Food and Beverage, and closing in Retail.
Welcome Experience
• Provides a warm greeting and lasting first impression for each Guest, meeting all guest expectations ensuring that each guest has a personalized and memorable experience.
• Assists Guests at the turnstiles and bag check, including operating the disabled access gate and assisting Guests with strollers.
• Liaison with Admissions Lead and Guest Services team to resolve ticket and membership errors.
• Ensures cleanliness in all aspects of the Turnstiles and Ticket Plaza area.
• Ensures stock levels of Park maps and Resort Entertainment Guides are maintained.
Retail
• Maintains high standard of store presentation through effective and timely stock replenishment, and adherence to LEGOLAND California visual merchandising guidelines. Assists with stock maintenance Obtains payments by processing cash, checks, sales discounts and credit cards.
• Prices merchandise by stamping, marking and tagging in line with LEGOLAND California policies and procedures.
• Obtains payments by processing cash, checks, sales discounts and credit cards.
• Ensures store maintenance, safety and security at all times.
Food & Beverage
• Possess in-depth knowledge of the location menu, product lines and preparation procedures.
• Maintain proper taste, temperature and appearance of all food items.
• Must follow all California laws governing the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledgeable of all LEGOLAND food safety and HACCP procedures and responsible for implementing and maintaining any relevant procedures and records.
• Ability to pass the Food Handlers sanitation class.
• Be aware of the value of high quality, fresh food products.
• Promotes sales through excellent service and product knowledge.
• Follow the LEGOLAND California Resort policies and procedures regarding proper sanitation and cleanliness standards.
General Expectations
• Knowledge of Resort and product knowledge
• Ability to work during peak times, including weekends, holidays and special occasions.
• Needs to serve all guests in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.
• Works well in fast paced and multi-task environments
• Maintain high service standards with children as a primary focus.
• Follows all LEGOLAND California policies and procedures and adheres to wardrobe and grooming standards.
Background and Experience:
One year of experience in Food and Beverage, Retail, or Welcome Experience is preferred but not required. Knowledge of cash handling and/or inventory/sales auditing, and of point of sale automated systems is imperative. Ability to adapt and work effectively with others with effective communication skills required. MC must present a positive and professional attitude at all time and dedicated to delivering memorable experiences to all Resort Guests.
Education:High School Diploma preferred.
Other Requirements:
MC must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays to support park operations.
