Our Opportunity:
Cumulus Media Dallas is seeking an experienced Producer/Board OP/Announcer “The Ticket Top 10” for KTCK-AM 1310 (“The Ticket”).
Ideal candidates have at least two years radio experience in a large or major market, preferably in a spoken word format. All should have a good understanding of the equipment in a radio control room including but not limited to: the broadcast console and related digital audio systems, call screening, Vox Pro, EAS Systems, broadcast delay, and any remote delivery equipment.
They must have the ability to multi-task, stay organized and think quickly and make good decisions in a high pressure, fast paced environment. Must be able to get along with and work closely with other employees. Excellent communication skills are a must including writing and grammar. Candidates must be reliable and responsible and have well rounded sports knowledge. Ability to edit audio quickly using equipment such as Audition, Pro Tools, etc. is required.
All Candidates must have a strong broadcast voice and on-air delivery, and exhibit a good ear for audio on radio. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and have an excellent attention to detail.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to: running the broadcast console in the radio control room with the purpose putting content on the air seamlessly, and ensuring all Station Policies and Procedures are followed and all FCC requirements are met on a daily basis. Following the Commercial Log; Editing Audio, Writing scripts and airing re-purposed show content; uploading daily station content as podcasts, writing and delivering sports updates; screening calls, producing live play by play events and live talk shows; all within the same shift.
