Technical Project Manager, Digital Networks LatAm
The Sony Pictures TV Digital Networks LatAm team is hiring a Technical Project Manager in our Culver City headquarters. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the overall Affiliate relationship(s) with SPT Digital Network’s Digital Service partners in Latin America. This includes managing partner expectations, resolving partner satisfaction issues, educating partners on the Digital Service’s features (new and existing) as well as managing all requests, tracking all issues, ensuring satisfaction and overall ensuring the well being of the relationship.
The PM/ Affiliate Relationships Manager role requires strong consumer facing application and technology project management exposure in combination with business acumen and relationship management experience in order to ensure partner expectations are met while keeping the big picture in mind. This role will be the affiliate partner’s advocate internally but will be able to balance requests with the overall goals/capabilities of the business
The Tech PM/Affiliate Relationships Manager will also support the Latin America Digital Networks platform establishing workflows to process issues and request, triage problems raised in the platform, interact with QC team and define and track initiatives on the global digital platform. This role will report to the Senior Tech Project manager of Digital Networks Latin America.
Responsibilities:
• Being the technical single point of contact for Affiliate partners in region
• Ensuring relationship success through continual touch points with respective partners
• Managing partner expectations and being a partner advocate internally
• Managing partner requests, issues, questions, training etc. on a day to day basis, including but not limited to end user production problem tracking
• Interfacing with internal product, technology, business and operations teams to ensure partner and end user satisfaction
• Maintaining roadmaps, list of problems/bugs and resolution steps taken as reported directly from region and/or affiliate partners
• Assessing risks and identifying solutions in a fast paced dynamic environment
• Primary liaison between Product/Operations and regional businesses defining and delivering technology to enable and meet business strategy and support day-to-day operations
• Communicating any feature enhancements or operational changes necessary to improve user experience, maximize production resources, and/or reduce operational costs.
• Communicating clearly and consistently regarding project-sensitive material via e-mail, telephone. Video, IM and in person
• Build relationship as a trusted business partner both internally and externally while being a focal point for delivery of services
• Leading test and post-launch bug reporting procedures and reporting, tracking and ensuring resolution of bugs for projects
• Resolve operational/production issues as required
• Ability to know when and when not to escalate technical or procedural roadblocks as needed for resolution.
• Lead continuous follow up with DPG Team about platform status, backlog, prioritization and release of Crackle Platforms
• Responsible of maintaining and expand PMO workflow defines to help to support all project related to technology.
• Lead projects with external vendors, scope definition, implementation, release and training
• Track and follow up Latam Digital platforms issues escalated to internal or external teams
• Any other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor
Candidate Requirements:
• Computer Science bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience a major plus but not required.
• Minimum five years of proven, demonstrable, project management experience with digital products is required.
• A minimum of five years work experience in digital media, particularly in the entertainment area.
• A minimum of five years work experience in roles that required service to final customers or strategic partners
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Brazilian Portuguese.
• Expert proficiency in project management tools such as TeamGantt, Basecamp HQ, Atlassian (JIRA),smartsheet and Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of development frameworks and methodologies, such as Agile SCRUM, waterfall, etc.
• Professional understanding of web development concepts, front-end and back-end frameworks, HTML/CSS, xml files, json files and digital publishing tools
• Experience in producing, launching or develop apps in multiplatform environments is preferred
• Solid grasp of metrics/analytics tools and services, such as Google Analytics, Omniture and comScore
• Professional understanding of API´s interfaces such as Swagger
