Pearson is constantly looking to add to our AMAZING team! We are actively searching for an expert K-12 Curriculum Specialist with a deep knowledge in content area of Math, with an understanding of Science. As a highly skilled Curriculum Specialist, you will provide exceptional sales and introductory product orientation in-service for print, digital and blended learning programs, partnering with other Specialists to share responsibilities in assigned region(s). You will team with Managers and Account General Managers throughout the region(s) as a content specialist supporting the sales process from prospecting to close, for Pearson products, services and solutions.
As a Curriculum Specialist, you will enjoy the opportunity to develop and maintain ongoing relationships with school state, regional or district decision makers in the assigned region(s) sharing your expertise in Pearson’s offerings, pedagogy and the competitive environment. You will actively partner directly with the Market Sales Teams and product management to advance Pearson products, services and solutions in the assigned market. Responsibilities also include post-sales support and activation.

Position is remote, residing in Florida with some travel to Georgia, and preferably close to a major airport!
Here is what you will get to do:
• Drive and meet revenue targets s for assigned region(s) contributing to the achievement of revenue targets as a team
• Motivate and influence educators (at all levels) to make sound decisions regarding learning outcome choices for students and teachers
• Provide expertise on national education standards, current education pedagogy and market trends
• Deliver winning presentations for each sales cycle to include: exhibits/ conferences, pre-work/issue setting workshops, meetings/campaigns, pilots, sales presentations, and program activation
• Develop relationships with key K-12 decision makers within the market segment
• Present customer feedback to sales, product and marketing teams
• Maintain content level expertise through the Pearson certification process and agreed upon materials
• Deliver Product Activation trainings for new and on-going customer accounts
• Provide professional development or in-service workshops at conferences
• Demonstrate a deep understanding and knowledge of Pearson’s print and digital solutions
• Collaborate with internal Pearson teams including sales, services and product management
• Maintain positive on-going relationships with the customer during the sales cycle including post sales
Qualifications
Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• BA/BS Degree; Master’s is preferred
• 5+ years of K-12 education experience to include classroom teaching experience
• Expert knowledge of education theory and market trends in assigned content areas i.e. Math & Science
• Exceptional Self-starter; possible self-directed training and preparedness responsibilities
• Deep knowledge and passion for learning in K-12 education; active participation of knowing competitive landscape
• Extraordinary communicator skilled at relating to all levels of state, regional or district K-12 employees from superintendent, administrator, teacher to para-professional
• Demonstrated ability to deliver winning presentations in large and small groups that include teachers, parents, district administrators, superintendents, or adoption committees
• Strong proficiency with technology, including the ability to use all presentation software and hardware (PC or Mac, including whiteboard technology and 1:1 devices) to develop and deliver multimedia presentations
• Collaboration with team members and all departments including sales, services, and operations to escalate and address customer satisfaction issues in order to ensure customer success
• Ability to be flexible and available for Midwest travel, occasionally on short notice and overnight stay
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
Additional Pluses:
• Previous experience in selling and servicing to the education market
• Specialty training or advanced certification is preferred
