We are looking for brilliant, full-time User Generated Content Specialist professionals to join our Trust and Safety Organisation. As a part of the User Generated Content team, you will be responsible for identifying online behaviours or mechanisms that could indicate fraudulent actors or misrepresentations existing to deceive. You will be working closely with Risk Product and other stakeholders to provide feedback and improve our models as well as focusing on analysing online patterns and trends in order to prevent any future bad contacts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Able to draw appropriate conclusions from statistical data and understand their limitations. Have a good appreciation of the range of user research sources; understand the value of both quantitative and qualitative data in shaping services
• Have a comprehensive understanding of the purpose of content moderation: its value to User Generated Content service providers and consumers
• Educating users on how to maintain security and safety while using Airbnb responsibly
• Reviewing queued results in multiple high volume queues that prevent potential risks
• Working with Trust & Safety lead to support cross-functional groups to develop and enhance internal policies and tools such as increasing automation, updating policies, fixing product loopholes, etc
• Understand our risk systems and investigate account patterns through data analysis
• Investigating complex situations and potential fraud
• Investigating scammers, scrapers and fraud cases and recognizing fraudulent/suspicious trends
• Maintaining high levels of confidentiality while performing investigations
• Comprehensively documenting investigations
• Identify market trends and product vulnerabilities. Create data-backed recommendations to respond to trends and to reduce vulnerabilities, then work with cross-functional groups to ensure these recommendations are executed
Role Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience within Risk, Fraud prevention or Trust and Safety OR highly skilled at business intelligence/data analytics and
eCommerce
• Ability to analyze data for patterns
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, self-motivated and results-oriented.
• Detail oriented: you do your due diligence when completing an investigation
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies. Able to work and self-organise with rapidly changing priorities
• Strong customer focus and the ability to balance fraud prevention alongside a positive customer experience
• Demonstrated customer service, organizational, and analytical skills. Project management or product review experience is a plus!
• Desire to work in fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Flexibility to adapt and ability to manage multiple assignments while working independently
• Strong investigative ability, internet research, and overall computer skills;
• Experience writing SQL, Project Management, and Product Review are a plus!
• English fluency; both spoken and written; A second language is a plus
