Job Summary
Senior Experience Designers at SapientRazorfish are responsible for navigation, organization, interaction design, and business/user process engineering for leading-edge Web solutions, software, and mobile devices/applications. You will apply user-centered design methods to translate user needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities into world-class user experiences for leading companies. You must have a basic understanding of creative disciplines, such as user-centered research, visual design, site development, content strategy, and brand strategy, to craft and lead holistic solutions with the experts in those disciplines. You’ll work directly with other senior level practitioners and collaborate with development teams to drive a point of view for end-user facing solutions. Key Responsibilities
• Assess existing sites/properties for usefulness, usability, visual design, content, and branding
• Identify strategic opportunities for competitive advantage based on findings
• Plan and conduct stakeholder interviews, and analyze findings to understand key success factors for a project or pursuit
• Plan and lead collaborative design thinking workshops with senior client stakeholders
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to produce polished, detailed design documentation for client stakeholder and dev team consumption
• Plan and conduct participatory design/user testing sessions and present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior clients
• Plan and conduct behavioral in-context research events; analyze, synthesize, and organize research data into meaningful themes, categories, and visually compelling frameworks and behavioral models
• Identify opportunities to create business value and improve the user experience; organize opportunities into visually compelling matrices or conceptual maps
• Develop personas/segmentations based on research findings; integrate personas/segmentations with related deliverables such as opportunity maps
• Facilitate user scenario planning sessions with both internal team and clients
• Develop engaging scenarios and frameworks that describe key aspects of a proposed experience, and how it reconciles business and user needs
• Create visually compelling representations of the solution’s high-level interaction, navigation, and organization design (i.e., concept models)
• Create comprehensive sitemaps, wireframe systems, and process flows for large-scale solutions
• Develop detailed, annotated wireframes depicting all elements on unique screen types, including content, functional, navigation, and interaction specifications
• Utilize low-fidelity, medium-fidelity, high-fidelity prototypes across different stages of the design process
• Create interactive prototypes using tools such as InDesign, Sketch, Axure, InVision, Proto.io
• Present concepts and deliverables to senior clients and stakeholders
• Support creative aspects of sales pursuits, including proposal creation
• Identify tools, templates, and techniques that evolve existing approaches for the larger creative community at SapientRazorfish
Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required; preferred in design-related discipline: Interaction, Information or Interface design; Human-Computer Interaction; Design Planning; Graphic Design; Communications; or equivalent military experience
• 5-7 years of industry experience
• Candidates must be expert in user-centered design methods and techniques
• Prior experience planning and facilitating design thinking activities with client stakeholders
• Prior experience designing within, and creating documentation for, large-scale interactive design systems
• Prior experience in UI design for mobile devices and responsive web design systems
• Proficient to expert in: InDesign, Sketch, Microsoft Office, and prototyping tools such as InVision, Axure, Proto.io
• Excellent analytical and process-oriented skills, as well as verbal and written skills
• Experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams
• Prior experience in a consulting firm or agency preferred
• Prior experience designing digital experiences for financial services is a plus
