Job Summary:
The Creative Director oversees a design team consisting of Graphic Designers and an Art Director producing award- winning concepts for local and national clients as well as providing support for Sales & Marketing. This role is involved in the development and implementation of a newly- formed Creative Hub working with regional leaders to assess the talent and needs of the North East Region. This role will mentor the creative teams throughout the region, focused on developing a cohesive, high-performance culture, facilitating communication, education and sharing of best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develops, designs and creates outdoor media ads to meet client’s marketing objectives
• Leads a team of in-house designers
• Oversees refinement of agency or customer artwork before it goes to production
• Leverages existing systems to maintain a repository of all creative for the region and align with other regional creative leaders on best practices
• Aligns field creative organization, establishing optimal roles and measures of accountability including:
◦ Develops processes & tools that streamline workflows and track revenue impact
◦ Onboards & provides ongoing support to local creative teams
◦ Facilitates regular communication; shares & elevates repeatable successes
◦ Offers guidance for local branch managers on utilizing creative talent & resources to impact revenue generation
◦ Serves as an expert in creative strategy, research insights and product innovation, providing education and support on these priorities within the region, assists sales with development & delivery of key client presentations as directed
• Assists Regional President & other Regional leaders with communication needs around implementation of regional programs, sharing of wins/best practices and other activities
• Other duties as assigned or requested
Job Qualifications:
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising Design, Graphic Design, Communication Design or related field.
• Advanced Degree desirable
Work Experience
• 5+ years of experience working with Sales & Marketing teams, ideally in the media/advertising environment
• 3+ years managing and leading Creative teams
• High quality portfolio required
Optimal Creative leadership with experience in developing marketing strategy, managing short- and long-term projects, driving collaboration across teams, providing superior sales support, applying critical & analytical thinking to solve business problems and tracking results
Skills
• Thorough understanding of photography, typography and printing techniques.
• Strong understanding of core marketing functions with demonstrated ability to leverage research resources, position media/products/capabilities, and optimize communications.
• Demonstrated self-starter with a diligent work ethic and demonstrated flexibility
• Excellent computer skills in relevant art and design software packages (e.g., Creative Suite (CS), Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) as well as knowledge of Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), social media platforms, project management apps like Basecamp, Asana, etc. as well as some basic video editing skills with programs like After Effects.

Other Requirements
• 20% of time will be traveling to branches across the region for in-person coaching, training and participating on sales calls
