Pearson is constantly looking to add to our AMAZING team! We are searching for a highly organized, self-motivated and creative project manager for marketing! The Creative Project Manager, Marketing role provides support for K12 marketing teams by partnering with them to strategize, launch, develop, and deliver national and state-specific campaign materials throughout the year. These integrated, customer-facing campaigns directly impact revenue by generating awareness, sampling, ordering, lead generation, customer loyalty, and engagement.
In addition to print collateral, the Creative Project Manager is responsible for strategizing and developing digital campaigns that are deployed through and reside online. You will also project manage internal/external training meetings and national education conferences, as needed, to support major multimillion dollar state adoption and open territory opportunities.
In this role, you will have a holistic view of all aspects of a given project, from start to finish, and act as a “center point” to connect all functional areas - Marketing, Design, Web, eCRM, Content, and Production - ensuring consistency of messaging and branding across all deliverables while meeting strict deadlines.
This opportunity is located at our Chandler, AZ, Boston, MA, or Glenview, IL, office site.
Here is what you will get to do:
• Manage multiple priorities simultaneously completing projects independently in a fast-paced environment
• Work independently, yet collaborate with internal teams in all cross-functional areas to achieve business and financial objectives through multiple mediums including print, digital, and packaging
• Assess project scope, determine resources/functional areas needed, define roles, set schedules including milestone dates
• Monitor project workflow, ensuring milestones and due dates are met with accuracy; alert working team/stakeholders (or management) of critical dependencies affecting due date or project completion
• Lead weekly (sometimes daily) project status meetings and launch meetings; maintain weekly status reports for marketing teams and immediate manager
• Exercise clear and timely communication skills via e-mail, in-person meetings, or virtual meetings in order to provide complete transparency on every project’s status
• Manage special projects as needed
Qualifications
Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
• 5 year’s minimum experience in Marketing, Creative, Project Management, Advertising, Publishing, or Communications is preferred
• Exceptional experience with Mac platform and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Google Mail, and Google Documents
• Adept in reviewing, annotating, manipulating, and printing PDF files
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong grammar, spelling, editing, and proofreading abilities
• Knowledge of print production, Web design process, and e-Marketing
• Familiar with file transfer on Google Drive, FTP sites, and print vendors prepress portals
• Strong organizational abilities, detail-oriented, and possess a high-level of initiative and follow-through
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects; able to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and to interface effectively with customers and with other departments within the organization
