Description
As Forbes enters the first year of its second century, we have been undergoing a transformation at all levels. We have reorganized into a product-driven company and refactored our technology to be the highest performing in our industry. We are now on the eve of our next transformation - a new look and feel of Forbes.com and the new brands we are launching. We are seeking a Director to lead our core product portfolio group, Forbes.com, which generates over 3 billion pageviews annually. The mandate of this squad is to establish Forbes.com as the highest quality user experience in the industry. If you like a challenge and are looking to take a step up in your career, please read on.
Our Product Owners work collaboratively with teams across the company to meet the needs of our users, brand partners, and editorial staff. We develop in an agile framework when appropriate. We reserve 10% of our production traffic to allow our Product Owners to test any changes that support their OKRs. If a test succeeds, we build it. If not, we try again.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Define and manage your squad's OKRs
• Plan and coordinate the execution and delivery of your product roadmap
• Define product KPIs, actively measure and analyze existing products for opportunities to innovate and improve
• Communicate effectively and consistently with customers, partners, business and technical teams and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders
• Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
• Keep abreast of the competitive landscape, industry trends, and digital innovation within the marketplace
REQUIREMENTS
• 5-7 years of product management experience working on web products
• Passion for rapid iterations - problem identification, solution hypothesis, beta test, assess, repeat
• Commitment to user-centered design and development
• Working experience with desktop/mobile analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture, Mixpanel, etc.
• Great team player with respect for others, yet able to work independently
• Enthusiasm for new technologies and new media
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (technical or analytical field a plus)
