The Director, Digital Marketing and Multi-Platform Content is responsible for developing and overseeing execution of digital marketing campaigns, branded content partnerships with third-party publishers and influencers, and the creation of buzzworthy, multi-platform content for a digital-first audience.
DIGITAL MARKETING STRATEGY AND CAMPAIGN LEADERSHIP
• Lead team in the development and execution of best-in-class digital marketing campaigns that build awareness, drive tune-in and increase engagement for Showtime original series, documentaries and specials
◦ Digital Strategy
# Collaborate with key SNI stakeholders to develop and implement series’ marketing strategy
# Build digital marketing strategy, creative briefs and campaign materials that leverage brand positioning, audience profile and digital insights and trends
◦ Campaign Development and Execution
# Spearhead the conception, development and execution of series-specific digital marketing programs
# Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with external agencies, content creators, interactive and editorial groups, digital platforms, mobile technologies, and content syndication companies, and lead the RFP process and identification of third-party campaign partners and branded content opportunities for individual series
# Oversee team in all facets of campaign planning, including vendor selection/management, budget allocation, creative approval and timeline development
# Outline success measures for each campaign/program based upon organizational goals
# Work closely with other SNI departments to secure necessary approvals, keep relevant stakeholders abreast of updates and milestones, incorporate subscription messaging (as/if applicable), etc.
MULTI-PLATFORM CONTENT STRATEGY AND DEVELOPMENT
• Lead team in the creation of innovative, forward-leaning multi-platform content that generates buzz and increases engagement for Showtime original series, documentaries and specials
◦ Content Creation
• Develop concepts that are aligned with series’ marketing strategy and positioning and uniquely designed for a given platform, screen and/or device, leaning in to digital trends, social conversation and emerging content and ad product formats, as relevant
◦ Liaise with the Video Strategy, Creative Services and Special Features teams to understand the full landscape of promotional video assets in development for a given series and ensure all multi-platform content works in synergy with the overall promotional narrative
◦ Liaise with Social Marketing, Media and any other prospective distribution partners to ensure content works in synergy with their strategy, plans and timelines
◦ Collaborate with Subscription Marketing on the development of digital content and influencer content campaigns with the primary objective of driving subscriber growth
◦ Oversee internal creative teams, external agencies, influencers and other partners in the creation of multi-platform content that is creatively compelling, strategically sound, within budget and timelines
◦ Build and maintain relationships with the creative community, including agencies, independent producers, writers, directors, and influencers to keep abreast of new partners and collaborators
◦ Work closely with other SNI departments to secure necessary approvals, keep relevant stakeholders abreast of updates and milestones, amplify content through paid media or on-air bumpers, incorporate subscription messaging (as/if applicable), etc.
◦ Transmedia Extensions
# Identify opportunities to extend linear storytelling to digital platforms through transmedia campaigns and content
# Pitch showrunners and program executives on potential storyline or character extensions for the digital space and partner with them on the development of this content, from script creation through production
# Partner with internal stakeholders to distribute and optimize transmedia content on relevant digital and social platforms
# Work closely with other SNI departments to secure necessary approvals, keep relevant stakeholders abreast of updates and milestones, amplify content through paid media or on-air bumpers, incorporate subscription messaging (as/if applicable), etc.
TEAM LEADERSHIP
• Motivate, mentor and develop great talent and lead the professional development of direct reports
• Ensure team is consistently optimizing campaign performance and managing budgets efficiently
• Lead team in research of new digital trends, platforms, influencers and experiences that can inform Showtime digital marketing strategy and be used to reach new customers

Qualifications:
• 7+ years digital marketing and multi-platform content experience
• Proven experience that shows a creative vision in developing interactive content and campaigns for a media and/or entertainment brand
• Strong understanding of marketing trends in digital, social, mobile and interactive TV platforms
• Deep understanding of how users interact with digital content and how to create great user experiences from a content perspective
• Working knowledge of production, on-air promotion and the operational aspects of an entertainment-oriented television network will be helpful in completing major initiatives and marshaling resources/assets
• Ability to manage and guide direct reports
• Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management
