Job Summary
Skyword’s Senior Director, Content Services, is responsible for managing up to 3 Directors and their respective client teams. The Senior Director, Content Services is responsible for complete strategic oversight of their client portfolio, the mentoring and leadership of their Directors, maintaining senior level relationships across their clients and ensuring best in class processes are created, followed and maintained.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Strategy
• Develop and recommend omnichannel strategies to clients that may include original Skyword content (articles, videos, visual and interactive content), paid media, native advertising, email newsletters, nurture tracks, and marketing automation.
• Support the Director(s) in managing teams and client portfolios, with an emphasis on enterprise and high ARR clients and important client interactions (kickoffs, quarterly reviews, upsells, renewals).
• Ensure delivery of client goals
• Lead client teams through collaborative workshops and strategy sessions
• Identify and implement process improvements that positively impact the team and service delivery to Skyword clients
• Identify opportunities to expand the relationship with clients and drive contract renewals
• Be a creative storytelling mentor for clients and the Skyword Content Services team
• Escalate client concerns to senior team members
• Partner with sales as needed and provide occasional field support on new business needs
• Provide strategic advice related to industry trends to ensure completeness of Skyword content service offerings
• Work closely with the VP, Content Services in identifying opportunities to innovate process, Skyword Platform, client strategy and Skyword offerings
Operations and Talent Staffing
• Coach team and provide regular performance evaluations to all direct reports
• Support Human Resources in the hiring process through candidate identification and interviewing
• Contribute during bi-weekly management roundtable discussions
Leadership
• Build relationships with/ vp-level senior client stakeholders
• Resolve issues and develop relevant and actionable plans, programs and recommendations
• Work with team members to identify and present opportunities for platform enhancements that benefit customer experiences
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 7+ years of digital marketing
• 6+ years of client management
• 6+ years of search, social and content marketing
• 5+ years of personnel management
• Experience with online content and SEO
• Experience working with digital advertising agencies or consultancies
• Experience within a startup, high tech environment
• Strong understanding of entire marketing ecosystem
• Proven ability to progress clients through the Content Marketing Continuum
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze issues and develop relevant and actionable plans, programs and recommendations
• Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to take responsibility and consistently exceed objectives
• Able to thrive in an entrepreneurial culture
• Comfort with technology and the ability to discuss basic Internet technologies with clients
• Ability to think strategically and identify and resolve problems, while maintaining a strong customer focus
• Able to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions to challenges
• Ability to manage time around unexpected situations and/or requests and prioritize workflow by opportunity
• Proven leadership skills and ability to work across inter-company groups
