Our exclusive emerging talent program offers the opportunity to gain deep experience within a business cluster to prepare for a high-impact opportunity within the cluster. Participants will obtain a diverse and broad view of their business, or multiple businesses, and build upon well-rounded experiences critical for their next role. They will work through multiple roles/experiences within an accelerated 18-24 month time frame; supported with experiential and formal learning, mentors, and exposure to senior leaders.
Participants in this track will rotate in focused increments through roles or learning experiences in accounting, finance, tax, and or treasury. Specific responsibilities will vary by role but may include: preparation of monthly journal entries and balance sheet account analysis (including the 2211 Account Receivable reconciliation); preparation of sales & use tax filings; collaboration and communication with other areas in the company (Operations and Business Planning); ensuring all entries properly reflect the operating performance of the business unit and are properly recorded in accordance with GAAP; creative utilization of automated processes and support from Financial Systems to reduce the time required to close the books and improve the timeliness of management reporting; and closely working with the tax department to ensure that the sales and use tax filings are filed accurately and timely. Roles in this track may include immersion in various accounting groups.
Participants may also be tasked with creating, improving, and innovating solutions specific to each role. They will present their work products to local leadership at the close of each rotation.
• Hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s or MBA degree with preferred major in accounting or finance
• 1-2 years of accounting experience
