Business Operations & Strategy Analyst (Monetization)

About the role
We’re currently looking for an innovative and highly motivated Business Operations & Strategy Analyst to join our growing Product & Growth team based at our office in New York City.
Vevo’s Business Operations (“Biz Ops”) & Strategy team provides business-shaping insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps business groups drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives. We tackle the big-picture questions, but stay grounded in the day-to-day practicalities of operating and growing the world’s leading online music and entertainment platform.
The Biz Ops & Strategy Analyst will work cross-functionally with Vevo’s Sales, Ad and Revenue Operation teams as well as with Vevo Data Scientists, Product Managers and Engineers to design and deliver timely, accurate and effective analysis, reporting and automation. This position will focus heavily on generating incremental revenue through proprietary Ad Product innovation and increasing sales effectiveness through improved analytics & workflow tools.
The Biz Ops & Strategy team uses an analytical and data-driven approach to develop a deep understanding of Vevo’s fast changing business and provides insights that will translate directly to business growth. You will seek answers to complex, ambiguous, and high-visibility business challenges, and become an integral partner to senior leadership.
This is a full-time position and is based at our office in New York City. We are in a convenient location in Times Square near Grand Central, Penn Station and a host of subway options.
As a member of our team, you will
• Provide analytical support for Vevo’s Product, Engineering and Data Science teams to develop key insights and suggestions on how to optimize Vevo’s suite of advertising tools.
• Build, automate and support actionable dashboards for reporting on Vevo’s video monetization.
• Analyze current monetization performance and build custom data models to derive current and historical trends into predictive forecasting.
• Liaise with Vevo’s data scientists to design and prioritize experiments that can extend our understanding of Vevo monetization performance.
• Analyze ad server patterns in order to reveal non-obvious insights about what drives campaign success.
• Be able to collaborate across business functions quickly and work with a diverse set of key Vevo stakeholders.
• Support daily, weekly and monthly reporting around Vevo’s video monetization and use it to help business partners identify opportunities and translate them into actionable initiatives.

Requirements
• BA/BS degree with quantitative focus (advertising, digital media, economics, computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics or counting) or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of analytical work experience in digital media, marketing, advertising and/or in a business operations and analytics environment.
• Deep knowledge of a social and data analytics toolkit, such as SQL, R, Python plus data warehouse environments (e.g. BigQuery, Redshift, etc.)
• Experience working with video ad servers (DFP, FreeWheel), order management systems (Operative) and CRM tools (Salesforce) is a plus.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
