Job Summary
Job Description
• Manages and leads a procurement organization of procurement manager professionals that support a major functional area or region of the global business.
• Builds strong relationships with both internal and external customers, suppliers
• Communicates company requirements across multiple business units
• Recognized as a subject matter expert for both the company and the commodities used across all business functions
• Manages $500M in annual spend across team.
• Team focus is on commodity customer premise hardware and resold services.
• Manages up to 5 FTE’s on negotiation strategy, sets savings targets based on spend and business plans for year.
• Specific focus on contract management and contract negotiation: EULA’s, flow downs / flow throughs, resale rights for affiliates and territories and mitigating risk to CenturyLink and its end customers.
• Survey existing vendor landscape and associated capabilities (products and geographies served) and more efficiently leveraging spend on smaller vendor set.
Qualifications
• 10+ years related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 8+ years related experience with Masters degree.
• MBA preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
• Proven cross functional leadership skills and experience.
• Ability to work with various levels of management within the organization including executives.
• Experience with RFP / RFx catalog preferred
• Telecom or technology experience preferred
• CPM / CSPM Certification is a plus
• Strong organizational and personal skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Requires tight coordination with customer facing legal teams to ensure service schedules for customers reflect supplier terms.
• Requires ability to build repeatable and scalable process for contract templates, contract processing and appropriate approvals.
• Requires ability to interface with Product Management leadership to understand product strategy and roadmap for CenturyLink go forward supplier criteria and selections.
• Possesses intermediate to advanced Excel and Word skills.
