seeking someone with solid financial analysis knowledge, high energy to transform an organization and exceptional leadership skills.
This position is responsible for successfully leading an FP&A team of financial analysts as they complete tasks associated with budgeting and forecasting, data governance and data hygiene, analytical processes to support divisional needs, and forward thinking analysis around profitability, stability and viability for business channel success. This position reports directly to the Regional Finance Director and collaborates with top leadership throughout the Gannett company.
In this role, you will:
• Develop relationships and provide direct support to the Regional Finance Director and staff at business units.
• Manage, mentor and train the hub financial analyst team
• Development and implementation of standardized analytical tools and reporting as well as ad hoc reporting when needed.
• Coordinates all analytical needs of the hub and sites utilizing hub staff. Anticipates and resolves complex issues/needs for business units.
• Performs complex financial planning and analysis, including forecasting and annual budgeting, capital planning and ad hoc P&Ls.
• Fulfills group/divisional requests for the Regional Finance Director.
• Ensures processes and staffing levels are in sync with desired results
• Standardizes, streamlines and offers solutions to manual and/or inefficient processes.
• Provide and maintain excellent customer service to hub management and site staff.
Required Competencies

• Technical skills including Excel, Access, BPC/EPM, EDMS, Lawson
• Strong GAAP/Sarbanes Oxley knowledge
• Financial statement prowess

• Technical skills including advanced skill in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs, Access, BI Systems, BPC/EPM, EDMS, Lawson

Here’s what you need:
• Business degree (BS or MBA) with 3+ years of FP&A supervisory experience that includes budgeting, forecasting, with high level analysis around profitability, viability and stability.
• Demonstrated customer service, coupled with strong organizational and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience iin a consolidated financial environment
• Big picture perspective and ability to manage vision but also the ability to perform the detailed assignments as needed.
• Media or publishing media experience preferred
• Ability to train, mentor and coach employees both local and remote
• Time management skills with the ability to follow up, plan accordingly and ensure deadlines are met
