Job Description
The VP, Enterprise Strategy will have a deep understanding of the marketplace to consult and solve for strategic Client challenges. As the primary POC for Agency Investment, the VP of Enterprise Strategy will lead development of Client specific programmatic blueprints that deliver incremental value and results. The VP, Enterprise Strategy will manage the strategic execution of first-to-market solutions on behalf of the Client.
Responsibilities
• Enterprise Strategy primary POC for account leads (Display, Video, Mobile, Data, Social)
• Build relationships and partner extensively with Agency Investment leads to understand the intricacies of the Client’s business and the role of the Agency
• Management of priority projects – ensure outputs latter back and deliver against the agreed upon strategy for each Client
• Translate programmatic strategies into impactful Client focused recommendations – oversee auditing of existing Client strategies
• Closely collaborate with Agency Investment leads to understand Client education and thought-leadership needs and develop necessary material
• Consult on Client challenges and identify opportunities to grow programmatic and adoption of PM Precision solutions
• Continue to drive the “why programmatic?” storyline and identify opportunities to move Precision activation further up the funnel (Example: channel expansion to CTV, audio, and DOOH)
• Collaborate and pull in cross-functional team support, as needed
• Stewardship of Client specific product roadmaps with key partners, to ensure product features align with client needs and business requirements
• Oversee implementation and activation of strategic alpha and beta opportunities – be the Client champion and escalate any product needs, establish framework to guarantee first-to-market opportunities deliver on set Client goals, and prioritize product feedback to Partnerships
• As the Client spokesperson lead, the VP will provide feedback to Partnerships to ensure partner relationships are informed by Client needs and prioritized accordingly
• Keep a pulse on the constantly evolving marketplace, and collaborate closely with Partnerships to ensure marketplace POVs address Client concerns and anticipate the Client ask
• Supervise development of Client focused case studies that highlight the results of strategic first-to-market opportunities, and drive Client retention
• Oversee development of best practices that are informed by Client activation
• Manage development of strategy and media recommendations development, ad tech evaluations, framework of analytics focused projects, client education/thought-leadership deliverables, and marketplace POVs
• Be an expert in advertising technologies such as ad servers, RTB platforms, ad exchanges, data management platforms, verification partners, etc. and be able to provide Client recommendations as needed
• Oversee a team of 1-2 high-performing individuals
Sample of Enterprise Strategy Projects Include
• Conduct inventory focused analyses that assess current performance, and provide recommendations that move programmatic up-funnel and beyond just open exchange based buying
• Work closely with Publicis Media Precision counterparts to assess raw bid stream data to understand the impact of auction dynamics on Client business, and provide an action plan on how to move forward
• Evaluate existing audience data strategies and formulate test plans that are geared towards identifying which strategies drive the most impact against Client goals
• Establish the framework for analytics projects and ensure outputs are actionable and align to Client objectives
• Lead Client focused ad tech evaluations – inclusive of management and development of the RFI process and associated recommendations
Qualifications
• 10+ years programmatic experience at a premium publisher, agency/ trading desk, DSP, or SSP
• Proven track record of delivering results
• Demonstrate the ability breakdown complex concepts into a simplified and understandable value proposition
• Strong analytical thinking skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to coordinate and lead projects across multiple teams and functions
• Solutions minded with the ability to think strategically
• Excellent collateral development and communication skills
• Self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced and evolving organization

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
