The Role:
We are seeking a Director of Product Management to lead our team. This role, working with engineering and project management leads, will establish the vision and direction of the Archtics ticketing platform. You will take input from internal business experts, consultants, clients, and the competitive landscape to create a roadmap to balance maintenance needs, short term gains and long term strategic wins. You will be responsible for the product throughout the product cycle, including: defining the vision, gathering requirements, creating preliminary design concepts, and working closely with development and QA to implement, test, and deploy. This role will have a direct and meaningful impact on driving revenue.
Archtics currently has over 400 clients including the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, MLS and many Arts, Theaters and Universities across North America, Canada, Europe, and Australia. This is a very exciting opportunity and high-profile role, which will involve collaboration with groups across the company, both domestically and internationally, to develop and implement product visions and strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Working with internal and external experts representing Ticketmaster’s broad client base of sports, concert, theatrical, and club clients, define and prioritize system enhancements and new feature capabilities.
• Work with Ticketmaster’s consulting, support, engineering, software, and QA organizations in the development and deployment of new products and features.
• Supervise a small staff of Product Managers to document product requirements, use cases, specifications, and user-interface mockups
• Identify interdependencies between Archtics and other Ticketmaster products including but not limited to AccountManager, Exact Target, Ticketmaster Resale and the Nexus Partner Integration Team
• Plan and manage product release including feature documentation and pre-release demonstrations
• Create product stories, prioritize and maintain backlog, guide development through dev cycle for feature stories
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in product management
• Experience with managing a highly complex system of interdependencies
• Demonstrated experience in driving innovation to uncover new value and new experiences
• Ability to create a vision and rally an organization around that vision
• Ability to manage and set expectations internally and externally
• Experienced with balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders and long-term needs of the company
• Ability to lead discussions with a cross-functional team including clients, domain experts, and application development, test, deployment, and support.
• Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills, and a keen attention to detail
• Ability to adapt quickly to change.
• Must be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent organization and time management
Get it done attitude – must be able to solve problems with minimal guidance or unclear requirements
Experience working with or an understanding of the Archtics application, and an intermediate understanding of one or more related Archtics systems such as the Ticketmaster Host, Account Manager, Mail Manager, Access Manager, and EMT, and how they relate to Archtics would be a huge plus.
