Job Summary:
The Director of Procurement is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy and execution of the Procurement function for Clear Channel Outdoor Americas. This highly visible position will integrate closely with functional and regional teams in order to execute upon strategic initiatives in order to achieve planned financial and operational improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, align, and resource a pipeline of sourcing initiatives across the enterprise through spend analysis, business demand, contract expiration, and market shifts
• Execute sourcing initiatives across the enterprise by working collaboratively to understand business needs, translate these needs into specific supplier requirements, and establish target pricing, terms, SLA s, and success measures. Develop sourcing/negotiating strategies and drive execution and ongoing monitoring efforts to ensure objectives are realized and sustained
• Develop process and procedures to drive contract compliance and ensure every $1 is being spent wisely
• Identify and implement systems required to effectively manage spend, projects, and contracts
• Develop materials and present updates on progress and performance to the Executive team
• Develop category management strategies with key stakeholders that utilize total cost of ownership models to optimize product/service performance and ROI
• Benchmark with leading organizations to identify and develop world-class business practices in category strategies, sourcing techniques and process efficiency
• Develop and maintain key customer relationships with Business Units, Functional VPs, and other leaders to ensure alignment of objectives and priorities
• Recruit, develop, and retain talent
• Facilitates new product development by identifying new technology that enhances our client offering
• Effectively manages key supplier performance by conducting routine business reviews with a focus on continuous improvement; develops new suppliers and/or alternative solutions
• Position can be located in San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.
Qualifications:
• Ten or more years procurement or consulting experience in a multi-business environment, with a minimum of seven years’ experience in strategic sourcing and negotiations
• A diversified background with significant exposure to and/or experience in operations, finance, and supply chain; media and advertising experience a plus
• Strong and successful experience in sourcing a wide spectrum of commodities
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams that achieve or beat challenging goals through use of skills development, conflict management and facilitating team collaboration
• Demonstrated ability to produce quality output through prioritization of efforts; focusing on quality of product and risk mitigation
• Must be familiar with contract language and be able to effectively negotiate terms over a wide range of product and service categories< >Knowledgeable of industry-leading strategic sourcing practices and operating procedures
