JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
• Partnering with HR Shared Services and Fox Networks Group HR departments, provide assistance, counsel, or escalate employee relations matters, employee counseling, day-day HR issues, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training and development; consult with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Legal when appropriate to address client issues;
• Function as the initial contact for various inquiries regarding HR policies & processes, data requests from clients, updates to records, employee dilemmas related to HR systems / processes, and basic employee leave information;
• Work closely across functional HR groups, particularly Benefits, Compensation and Talent Acquisition to ensure effective coordination and timely service delivery;
• Conduct exit interviews, inform employee of benefits, unemployment (if necessary), distribute final pay, answer questions and collect company property. In addition, obtain detailed exit information for analyzing turnover;
• Collaborate with HR Shared Services and HR Coordinator on any HRIS or reporting needs and issues; provide ad hoc reporting support and act as subject matter expert on systems and employee data for the Sports HR Business Partner team; also function as primary liaison with subject matter experts from Fox Entertainment Group and other Fox Networks Group HR teams, as well as Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as applicable.
• Review company policies, procedures, benefits etc. with new hires and transfers. Collect paperwork and complete new hire forms to be entered into the system by HR Shared Services.
• Participates in special projects as requested.
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, related field or HR certification is preferred;
• At least three years of experience as an HR Generalist or Employee Relations Specialist required, ideally providing Human Resources support within a large matrixed organization or for multi-site operations (i.e. Manufacturing, Retail, Hospitality, Food & Beverage)
• 2 years of experience and knowledge handling Employee Relations issues required, including experience with investigations, managing highly confidential matters, employee counseling, and engagement of Legal department; experience within unionized environment would be beneficial;
• Must demonstrate a high level of detail orientation and ability to organize and prioritize while successfully managing time constraints;
• Experience handling multiple tasks simultaneously with the ability to make decisions independently;
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully at all levels;
• Exceptional collaboration skills and the ability to maintain strong relationships with HR team and all levels of staff.
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft or other HRIS systems, with Workday experience preferred; technically proficient in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint;
• Must be able to successfully operate in a fast moving, fluid environment and stay calm and focused during peak times;
• This role requires a flexible schedule with the ability to work long hours, travel and be available during weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for Sports is a plus.
