Group Nine Studios is looking to hire an Assistant Editor to join our fast-paced creative team. The Assistant Editor will work closely with the Group Nine Studios video team to edit content across multiple platforms. Candidates must have strong proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects) and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare assets for shows, including lower thirds/graphics, and ads
• Organize, backup, sync, edit and deliver/upload the final versions of comedy shows (including Getting Doug with High, Norm Macdonald Live, Reality Bytes, After Sheldon, and other upcoming comics) to Youtube and megaphone (audio)
• Create thumbnails for these uploads in Photoshop
• Ensure camera angle and audio stream from each episode is backed up on the server
• Prepare, edit, and deliver episodes/shorts for servicing for Amazon, Pluto etc.
• Find various assets on the server from past productions
• Partner closely with Editors on delivering projects
• DIT shoots if necessary
• Check server space routinely and ensure that server is updated and well-organized
Qualifications:
• 2-3 years of experience editing digital media content
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and familiar with Davinci Resolve's proxy workflow
• Experience meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a self-starter and a team player
• Strong organizational skills, work ethic, initiative, sense of urgency, and attention to detail
