Job Summary
The Finance Analyst II is an integral function in the Account Management organization as it partners with the business unit to provide critical financial information required to manage large accounts. This position is based in our International Account Management group and has global partners.
Job Description
• Partner with Financial Planning and Analysis to establish and track the monthly/annual Network expense budget (Netex)
• Work with the various internal teams to validate the monthly expenses and forecast any large accruals
• Create, forecast, and report on annual/monthly savings forecasts for network expenditures
• Partner with finance to build and adjust savings forecasts for contract renewals, contract credits from vendor spend plans, and optimizing projects
• Improve quality of the savings forecasts and reconciliation process
• Track network install costs to support network augments and expansion activities
• Reconcile and confirm install MRCs with Finance
• Review Asia specific offnet planned costs to ensure all costs are captured and accrued for
• OCC’s reconciliation identifying exclusions, and network costs reporting of monthly results in accounting
• Establish and document processes for the function and identify on-going process improvements.
• Validate any prior period adjustments recommended by accounting and ensure the reconciliation of the actuals monthly are accurate
• Build and maintain market intel database to house quoting activity and industry trends with subsea and terrestrial pricing.
• Create and track unit cost for every circuit quoted and installed by speed and country.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in business/ Finance/ Telecommunications or related years of applicable experience
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Excellent communications interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work with a globally diverse team.
• Business and financial acumen, self-motivated, adaptive to changes and results-oriented.
• Demonstrated success in building strong cross-departmental business relationships
• Strong customer service focus
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business/finance/telecommunications
• Specific telecom industry experience or other applicable industry experience
