Position at Taylor Communications Inc.
Taylor Communications is seeking a Production Supervisor in Tampa, FL. The position is responsible for the overall management, direction, and coordination of the daily production in our manufacturing operation by directing production and implementing policies and goals to meet the needs required for the growth and process improvement of the facility.
Shift Available
• Monday night - Saturday morning
• 3rd shift, 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
Responsibilities Include:
• Ensure safety and facility policies and procedures are observed and followed
• Maintain and monitor workflow by establishing and adjusting resources in order to meet daily output goals and customer needs
• Record and maintain departmental metrics in order to recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
• Communicate goals and standards to employees
• Resolve employee issues by analyzing data, investigate issues, identify solutions, and recommend action
• Conduct employee training and performance appraisal process
• Communicates and works as a team with other departments, subordinates and management to resolve problems, complaints, and expedite work
• Recommends or implements measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality and efficiency
• Develop, mentor & train employees to assist in meeting both organizational & individual objectives
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2 – 5 years of relevant manufacturing leadership experience
• Basic math and computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and internet research)
• Proven leadership ability
• Business knowledge and ability to see effects of decisions on the operation
• Contributes to an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation to maintain an effective working environment as well as ensure continuity of service to customers
• Proficient in reading, speaking, and understanding the English Language
• Proficient in use of Microsoft office
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or manufacturing relevant education
• Ability to lead change efforts
• Ability and willingness to hold self and direct reports accountable for meeting performance expectations
• Ability to communicate effectively to large groups of employees
• Reacts to change productively and handles other tasks as assigned
• A service-oriented individual with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor
• Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
