JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX Sports North is searching for a Programming Coordinator to join their team in Minneapolis. The position is responsible for providing support for the Director of Programming in gathering, coordinating and disseminating programming information – both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
• Program Schedule / Data Management – Input and maintain programming schedules into Nielsen’s eNames database for proper ratings credit. Executes program schedule changes in VPS programming database. Creates and distributes program schedule change memos and revised schedules. Enters leased airtime programming show orders in Wide Orbit traffic system.
• Contingency Planning - Provides Master Control with fill instructions and contingency plans; ensure proper execution. Attends weekly programming contingency meetings as well as participate in national programming contingency conference calls.
• Cross-party Communication – Effectively communicate programming information, changes, etc., to all internal departments, Master Control and TV listings services. Generates program ratings reports and summaries. Proofreads market/alternate switching schedules.
• Compliance - Manages third party program suppliers’ compliance with music cue sheets submission to Music/Legal Dept. Monitors closed captioning compliance and scheduling with third party suppliers and our CC vendor.
Qualifications
• College degree preferred
• Strong written/oral communications required.
• Experience with PC/Microsoft required.
• Must be detailed oriented and organized individual with strong communication skills.
• Must be self starter and highly motivated and able to quickly adapt and shift focus and priorities.
