The Marketing Specialist is responsible for collaborating with the team on building and nurturing audience engagement for various trade show events within Informa Exhibitions. The Marketing Specialist will execute components of marketing plans for events and individual sessions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with the team to design, document and execute programs for marketing and audience development activities. This requires coordinating with multiple departments such as Art, Production, Web and Marketing Services
• Point of contact for all show related promotions (social media, banner ads, planner, show guide, onsite signage promotions, call campaigns, etc.)
• Coordinating all macro/micro email campaign sends with campaign resources under the direction of the Senior Marketing Manager
• Project manage website build outs and edits in coordination with marketing, events, web, and content teams including the weekly creation, maintenance, and placement of all advertising for trade show events and content websites
• Coordinate and execute social media for trade show events and content brands
• Coordinate and execute paid media and re-targeting campaign for events and content brands
• Nurtures, grows and updates audience reach lists from Eloqua, including registered trade show attendees and exhibitors, and work with data teams to maintain list integrity
• Manage customer appreciation program and supporting marketing initiatives
• Work at Health & Nutrition trade shows and industry events supporting social media and other event marketing needs
• Code and merge new audience lists including directories, purchased lists, etc.
• Manage house advertising reservations with program managers
• Perform any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility
Minimum Education Level
• Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college
Background Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
• 1-3 years experience in a marketing role
• Speaks and writes clearly and fluently in English to both individuals and groups
• Computer literate and proficient in the use of web browsers and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Past relevant work experience with online/digital marketing with experience in audience development and audience segmentation
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills; comfortable with heavy telephone audience recruitment
• Strong attention to detail and proactive behaviour and attitude
• Outstanding project management skills
• Excellent organization, planning, multi-tasking and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced work environment; comfortable working on multiple projects with ability to meet short deadlines
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with Eloqua, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Analytics, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Google AdWords, AdRoll, and Salesforce
