Under the supervision of the Director, Project Management - Digital Media, this role is responsible for managing both individual digital initiatives and supporting the overall project roadmap and workflow for the Digital Media group.
A major part of the project manager’s work will include supporting Showtime over-the-internet (SOI) social media and programmatic media efforts by managing all aspects of the creative execution process, including the facilitation of design team’s work, leading creative reviews, synthesis of feedback, and delivery to sites for media placement -- ensuring all units are built to spec and properly trafficked, as well as QAing site links as they launch.
The Project Manager will act as a liaison between the Media Team, Subscription Marketing Team, Design Team, Social Team, outside agencies and publisher sites throughout the development and execution of programmatic and social advertising campaigns.
The PM will help to lead and manage planning of campaign development process, including audit of media plan and specs, management of tools for reviewing creative with key stakeholders, as well as scheduling development of all units including HTML5 and custom creative, with reviews, revisions, QA and final delivery dates.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Role will be required to manage and deliver multiple work streams for various types of digital projects to agreed scope, timings, budget and quality for Digital Media department.
• Work with internal teams to help define project scope, resource requirements, and cost (hard costs and resources) estimates for projects.
• Act as hub of communication for projects, in regular contact with key stakeholders, as well as internal and external partners engaged in delivering product, feature, or process.
• Develop and build detailed project plans for all stages of digital media projects – documenting and distributing timelines to project team and keeping project on track to ensure on time deliverables.
• Develop user requirements, functional specifications, technical specifications, and process flow diagrams to communicate engagement scope to key stakeholders and project team members.
• Act as a liaison between all parties throughout development of creative for paid media campaigns.
• Confirm final delivery/trafficking requirements. Ensure these requirements are met and files are handed-off to the proper parties.
• Create the infrastructure of the review space to review banner and social creative with all Stakeholders. Maintain review space throughout campaign, making sure it is always up-to-date and neatly organized.
• Discuss initial media plan with Media Buying Agency and obtain an official media plan/spec sheet from them. Once obtained, audit all executions and specs.
• Create a list of questions to discuss with the Sites on kickoff calls – anticipate issues before they happen… Remain flexible and deal with updates since the media plan will likely change often leading up to launch.
• Create schedule for all executions including HTML5 and custom creative. The schedule must account for: reviews, revisions, QA and final delivery dates.
• Work with Digital Design Team to ensure they are set-up for success. This may include going back to Sites when additional questions arise, keeping Subscription Marketing up-to-speed on potential obstacles, making sure all deadlines are clear and being hit.
• Set-up review time with stakeholders and manage review process, setting clear expectations on when feedback is needed and delivering the feedback to Design once it comes in.
• Gather all assets for custom creative and make sure it is approved internally before delivering to sites. Once delivered, work with the Sites to obtain a schedule for review links.
• Ensure all media is fit to be trafficked and help QA site links as paid campaigns launch
Qualifications:
• 3 to 5 years working in project management (at client or agency side) in support of producing digital display and / or social media advertising.
• Ability to prioritize workflow is essential
• Experience leading programs and projects of varying sizes; project managing cross-functional teams and both internal resources and external vendors.
• Experience in project management software such as JIRA, Basecamp, and MS-Project.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check work
• Strong administrative, communications, organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to multi-task changing priorities and projects
• Demonstrated creative problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Ability to interface easily with cross functional groups (production, design, etc.)
• Ability to interface easily with all levels of management
• Ability to create and present executive ready presentations in Power Point
• Strong understanding of technical workings of websites and social media platforms
• Strong understanding of cable, the Internet and multi-media industries
• Must be able to build and maintain relationships with people from many different levels from both inside and outside the company
• PMI or other related certification, as well as Agile experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
