Overview
This internship is with the WGN-TV/CLTV/ANT-TV Sales Department. The internship pays minimum wage. Interns are considered trainees and not employees under the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1973.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to: Assisting the National Sales Manager in the political sales process, maintaining political advertising schedules, tracking & monitoring political spending in the market, ensuring political advertising schedules are complaint with FCC guidelines, maintaining political public files and working as a liaison with political agencies and campaign managers.
Qualifications
Candidates must be organized, detail oriented, and possess good interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Word and Excel required.
Internship Eligibility
– Must be 18 or older and a registered student in good standing at an accredited college or university.
– Must be able to work the hours required by department.
– Students can receive university or college credit for participating in this program but need to handle paperwork involved
Duration/Hours: Must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week during a 13 week period. Internship scheduled to start Fall 2018.
