Job Description
Summary
The Sr. Product Manager will play a key role in incorporating both quantitative metrics and market/usability research into product strategy, roadmap and feature definition. He/She will analyze the industry and perform competitive analyses to inform a product vision that is differentiated and delivers on user demands. The Product Manager will also support cross-functional teams in product execution and launch under the direction of the senior product management team. The role will require collaboration with key stakeholders within Performics and both internal and external users to keep client needs and product differentiation top of mind. Strong communication and partnership with product, engineering and UX teams will be required in order to build solutions that help execute strategic objectives. This role will require elicitation and documentation of requirements for product initiatives. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable wearing many hats and driving innovative solutions from concept to polished product for difficult problems.
Skills & Responsibilities
• Participate in development and execution of product vision, strategy, roadmap and evolution including concept development, user validation, feature execution and value analysis
• Perform external and internal assessments/research of the business environment, competitors, customers, and market trends to identify current and future market/product opportunities
• Collaborate with key customers/users to help build market insights
• Participate in user and product research to test, evaluate and strategize on opportunities to evolve the product experience
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, UX and end users to define and document product requirements and identify product test and use cases.
• Ensure alignment between product team, engineering team and other stakeholders
• Monitor all inquiries and issues for product and be able to articulate them clearly to team, prioritize them in the backlog, and ensure timely resolution
• Provide training to users and new team members and ensure optimal product knowledge
• Develop various marketing and user engagement strategies (i.e. email blasts, product roadshows etc.) for products and ensure achievement of all market objectives to generate business value
• Manage efficient working of all phases of product development including leading agile scrum ceremonies (i.e. sprint planning, retrospectives etc.) and managing tickets in Jira as needed
• Manage features, priorities, and dependencies across sprint releases
• Monitor performance measurements to ensure product and or business process is tracking against goals. Recommend and implement corrective action as needed
• Stay on top of industry changes, through partnerships and self-research/learning, that may have direct impact on product
• Consistently look for opportunities to improve team workflow and processes; ideal candidate will consistently look to transform the organization – expect to fail and consistently learn
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with concentration in business, computer science, marketing, or advertising preferred
• Master’s Degree in business, computer science, advertising or marketing optimal
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in business process, business analysis, user experience or project/product management experience in software/digital marketing industry
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills, both in person and written
• Experience troubleshooting issues with excellent problem-solving abilities including appropriate communication and resolution
• Ability to elicit requirements from others in a constructive manner
• Experience working within an agile framework and using tools such as Jira or Rally
• Experience participating in or leading scrum ceremonies (i.e. sprint planning, retrospectives, daily standups)
• Positive and strong team player with a good work ethic
• Enjoys working with multiple stakeholders and creating friendly partnerships across internal and external teams
• Comfortable working in an environment where priorities may shift due to industry, product or user needs.
• Comfortable suggesting, initiating and implementing processes that may lead to greater efficiencies across the team
• Thrives on brainstorming and building innovative solutions that consistently challenges the status quo
