Job Description
KFMB Stations Group (CBS News 8, The CW San Diego, 100.7 KFM-BFM and KFMB-AM 760) in San Diego is seeking a Digital Account Executive to join our growing sales team. This position will report to the Digital Sales Manager (DSM) and will operate as an extension of the DSM (e.g. when the DSM is unavailable to answer questions or join client meetings).
We are looking for a dynamic sales consultant who is digitally savvy, motivated to collaborate with others and is laser-focused on growing our clients’ businesses. The ideal candidate is someone who is currently seen by their peers as a digital sales leader within their organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with the local sales staff to provide smart, compelling digital media campaigns that deliver positive results for our clients and increase digital revenue for our stations
• Work with sales leadership on the digital strategy and objectives to help the sales team and entire organization achieve their respective goals
• Work cohesively with our internal team on digital campaign ideation and proposal creation
• Build trust inside/outside of our organization as a subject matter expert in the digital space and the value these solutions bring to our partners
• Join our sales staff in conducting Client Needs Analyses (CNA) and account reviews to uncover opportunities in which we can positively impact our clients’ business
• Explain the benefits of our digital solutions (SEM, SEO, Social, Display, Email, OTT) and how these digital solutions work best in conjunction with broadcast TV
• Present best practices, research and case studies in sales meetings to help educate our entire sales team and leadership
• Support our Ad Ops team as needed
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
• College degree required
• 3-5 years of media sales experience (who is currently seen by their peers as a digital sales leader within their organization
• A solid understanding of local and regional business vertical segments
• Well-versed in the digital products and solutions we bring to market
• Ability to understand and adapt to new process and procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently (the ability to self-motivate and still collaborate with others are essential attributes).
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize projects and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational and time-management skills
