Position Overview
Canon BioMedical, Inc. is looking for a growth-oriented and metrics-driven leader with proven success executing national level sales and marketing strategies to achieve/exceed corporate sales objectives. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Commercial Operations located in Rockville, MD.

Responsibilities
• Define and implement the strategy for sales and revenue growth.
• Leverage all sales and support channels, both direct and indirect, to grow market penetration and increase market share.
• Provide and oversee sales presentations and product demonstrations; ensure pre and post sales customer satisfaction.
• Effectively utilize key industry information and market knowledge to gain competitive advantage in the marketplace.
• Develop long term customer relationships through the ability to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities.
• Develop strategy for anticipating and creating customer demand for all segments of the product portfolio.
• Deliver on all business commitments including orders, revenue and cost targets as well as quality and compliance activities.
• Hire, coach, motivate, develop and retain Sales and Application Specialist teams; lead team to plan and organize activities to ensure efficient and effective sales support, field service, and technical applications support are provided.
• Ensure all account/contact details are developed and maintained within CRM database.
• As the bridge between corporate strategy and operations, is responsible for establishing annual objectives and for planning projects, initiatives, policies or program changes that are necessary to support the strategic goals established at higher levels.
• Provides input to corporate strategy development and leads development and execution of sales and customer support strategy.
• Will be responsible for regular communication of sales updates and customer feedback to key stakeholders (executive team, marketing, operations, R&D, regulatory, etc.).
Qualifications
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 15 years of related experience with at least 5 years of experience managing 2 or more regular full-time employees.
• Has in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives and interacts regularly with other senior managers across the organization.
• Proven track record of success; direct experience selling diagnostic lab equipment
• Working experience with SalesForce.com
• Must have strong planning, forecasting, negotiation and presentation skills
• Strong professional and strategic sales skills with ability to develop and grow key accounts
• Must be detail and customer service oriented; excellent with time management, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent listening, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Approximately, 50% travel may be required
• Inspires others to exceed expectations on a daily basis though own enthusiasm and energy
• Develop relationships with key internal stakeholders and external customers to exceed sales objectives and identify emerging business opportunities and challenges
• Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to assimilate complex concepts and clearly articulate business value
• Strong technical background in molecular diagnostics
• Knowledge of current trends and opportunities in the life science industry
