JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the daily operations of financial accounting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Management and development of accounting staff
• Complete monthly close and general ledger reconciliations in a timely manner and in accordance with GAAP
• Supervise general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll departments
• Assist with annual capital and financial operating budgets
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reporting package for management
• Analysis of financial results and accounting information
• Interface with Operational Managers and recommend policy and procedure improvements to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and assist with testing.
• Coordinate requests for information from the internal and external auditors.
• All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
Must have at least five (5) years’ experience with financial reporting. Proficient in MS Word, advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of Great Plains general ledger and financial reporting software. Must be able to stand/walk/ sit for extended periods. May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment. Must be at least 21. Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing. Must be able to pass a background investigation.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Business Finance, Accounting or a closely related field. CPA required. MBA or Masters in Accountancy desirable.
