Job Description
KHOU is looking for a Content Discovery Producer. If you're savvy to social media, can spot trending posts/emails that can turn into great viral stories, and are looking to start a career with a a Fortune 500 global digital media company, then APPLY TODAY!
The ideal candidate is able to write and post to the web on behalf of KHOU AND able to find stories on social media that help our viewers’ everyday lives.)
Job Requirements
• The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who can track down and confirm stories, listen to police/FD scanners, and speak with our viewers via phone/online.
• To be considered, candidates should have a combination of a college degree in a related field and some news/broadcast news experience.
• Knowledge of what working at a digital/TV news outlet is like.
• Able to handle multiple deadlines, coordinate breaking news and interact professionally with our viewers—all at the same time!
