The Opportunity: Lead Hybris eComm Developer
This key member of the Marketing & Sales Web team, will oversee Hybris services, supporting the shopping cart on www.hmhco.com as well as order history and customer notification. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with high capacity and desire to think strategically and find technical and architectural solutions. This job position is located in This position is located in Boston, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
• Upgrade the HMH extensions to Hybris to keep pace with new releases from SAP Hybris.
• Work with Infrastructure to upgrade the entire Hybris system quarterly to keep pace with new releases from SAP Hybris.
• Transition the existing installation from Windows to Linux
• Transition the existing installation from a static Server to a Docker container
• Transition the existing installation Accelerator JSP to WebServices
• Merge website services with services for offline orders and customer support
Required Skills and Qualifications
• 3+ years developing Java Enterprise applications
• Java Spring MVC Security experience
• 2+ years of experience with Hybris project life cycles along with integration of Hybris applications to other systems
• Experience developing REST APIs
• Experience with XML and JSON Parsing
• Solid understanding of web technologies, relational databases and multi-tier applications
• Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment and deliver on commitments in a timely manner
• Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, and reconcile conflicts. Ability to translate user requests into underlying system needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
Preferred Experience
• Java Certification preferred.
• Hybris Certification preferred.
• Database integration preferred
• Java Web JSP experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing)
• The person in this position needs to move about inside office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings
