Job Description
The Investment team is a client-dedicated center of excellence, that leverages partner capabilities to drive investment value for our client’s media strategy. The department provides thought leadership on the investment and technology landscape and operational execution of media strategy.
We are currently looking for a driven, enthusiastic Business Analyst to support the investment team via the delivery of quantitative support, business understanding, and strategic insight into our financial infrastructure. This role will be responsible for enabling investment leadership, to improve business performance and operational effectiveness and efficiency in support of our client needs.
As a Business Analyst, you will have an opportunity to work across the investment team, gaining exposure to senior leadership, by finding compelling insights within data and using your exceptional business and communication skills to translate those insights into reports. As a member of the team, you’ll spend your time consolidating and analyzing financial data sets. You will have an opportunity to use your critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills to influence and drive thoughtful and well-informed decision making. Additionally, you will work on special projects for the Agency’s President of Investment and the EVPs of each Investment practice.
In this role you will own the development of scalable templates, in support of our strategic planning, forecasting and analysis efforts.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the creation and ongoing development of reports, that will provide scalable insights for the Investment leadership team
• Work closely with various stakeholders (Client Leads, Investment/Practice leads etc.) to solicit the collection, tracking and analysis of investment spend and revenue data across all clients via Excel reports
• Own ongoing data aggregation and roll-ups across the agency’s Investment teams via monthly Excel reports, to inform a more data driven business operation against revenue goals
• Assist with specific data analysis at the direction of Investment leadership. Facilitate trend analysis, forecasting and model building where appropriate.
• Build graphs and charts from raw data to fuel key reports and presentations, Investment leadership will make to management, peers and constituencies.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, economics, finance or statistics strongly preferred
• 1+ year’s relevant experience analyzing data using Excel to identify trends, extract relevant insights and make business recommendations in PowerPoint strongly preferred
• Must have strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and proactively work toward deadlines
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, detail-orientation, follow-though skills
• Must be hard-working, resourceful and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about using data to support your recommendations, with the enthusiasm and ability to build models when necessary
• Strong organization and project management expertise
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to collaborate with management and others in the company
