Job Description
Be bold, test, iterate and measure while leading the definition of great UX, from initial concept to final delivery of projects. Review industry, competitors and other market leading trends to ensure experience is at the cutting edge of the industry. Provide feedback and requirements to engineering to ensure architecture scales. Partner with key stake holders such as marketing, sales and analytics to ensure mutual goals are met.
Key Qualifications
• Extensive experience in practical user interface design, across a variety of domains and product types and screens
• Experience in interaction design, visual design, information architecture, and solid understanding of UX design principles
• Ability to work and lead cross-functionally
• Must be self-motivated. Independently manage time, prioritize, manage multiple projects, budgets and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent analytic ability and effective problem-solving skills
• A talent for diplomatic discussion: the ability to listen, convince and collaborate in a cross-functional environment
• Experience in creating detailed page and module level specifications for handoff to web developers
Qualifications
• MS/BA/BS in HCI or related field
• 10+ years working in a fast-paced environment, web, e-commerce and mobile applications.
• Min of 3 yrs. management experience
• Strong track record of leadership, peer-mentoring, and participation in organization
• Strong customer service and retention focus.
• Strong time management skills.
• Excellent communications (oral and written), organizational, negotiation, persuasion, planning and time management skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
