Job Description
KENS 5, a TEGNA-owned CBS station in San Antonio, is seeking a Major Accounts Sales Executive to sell integrated solutions to regional and national advertising agencies. Responsible for growing market share and increasing current client spend using the TEGNA tools and assets. You will:
• Create a strategic business plan with the Major Accounts Sales Manager to meet and exceed all revenue goals and targets on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis for national/regional accounts.
• Effectively negotiate with major agencies as needed to garner the highest share as possible.
• Work with Major Accounts Sales Manager on proper pricing strategies.
• Provide superior customer service to clients.
• Organize and prioritize to meet all goals and deadlines.
• Develop and implement incremental revenue opportunities with new and existing advertisers as they relate to all platforms.
• Consistently conduct account maintenance. Work with station support to assure timely handling of pre-empts, makegoods, posts, aging, discrepancies and collections.
• Excellence in presentation delivery.
• Utilize Salesforce to manage day-to-day activity and forecasting.
Job Requirements
You need:
• Proven track record in meeting/exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required
• 3 years sales experience preferred
• Strong client-related presentation and communication skills
• Consultative/Solutions/ROI selling experience vs. a single Product selling background
• Technically proficient in Salesforce and marketing-related reporting tools
