Job Description
The Employee Experience Specialist offers Talent Acquisition and HR support to employees, managers and HR Business Partners across all of TEGNA and our stations. The Specialist will offer support to the Talent Acquisition Department by handling a variety of administrative, reporting, special projects and assisting leadership on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for posting jobs, tracking interviews and closing out jobs when filled
• Initiating background checks & drug testing
• Involved in the new hire & onboarding process, including drafting offer letters
• I-9 verification of new hires
• Updating forms and processes across all of talent acquisition
• Assisting managers with initial pre-screening of applicants, as appropriate
• Provide benefits overview and answers general HR questions
• Assists with the FCC Public File annual requirements
Job Requirements
Requirements:
• College degree preferred.
• Ability to organize large volumes of information and inquiries, create and maintain a process which makes it easy to know the status of all incoming work.
• Ability to investigate and research questions and problems and clearly communicate the answer to employees.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, problem solve and meet deadlines.
• The Employee Engagement Specialist must be detail & goal oriented & possess a passion for company culture and employee satisfaction.
• Must be able to take initiative and work well both independently and within a team.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work with confidential information.
