Description
This position is responsible for the overall marketing timeline for the season of events; development of print and online marketing collateral; email marketing; web site and social media management and content development; marketing budget development and cost tracking; the development of PR strategies and press releases to enhance sales efforts; supporting the writing and editing of all promotional materials; ticketing site oversight and ticket sale tracking; and communicating consistent messages internally and externally.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, maintain, drive and communicate a marketing calendar for all events.
Manage, in collaboration with graphic design(s), the development of soulful, well-articulated and beautiful marketing collateral (online and in print) marketing collateral that deepens our connection to our core audience, while of interest to new audiences.
Manage the build, the content and distribution of an e-blast.
Manage a dynamic look on the website and provide event updates, as required, in collaboration with all RestorationART departments.
Develop social media plans for major events, creating and curating content, operating key social media accounts.
Work with various teams across a range to ensure social media is integrated into out put.
In collaboration with the Executive Director, build an annual marketing budget and track budget with show reports on expenses and revenue, mainly ticket sales and paid ads.
Maintain media lists and serve as primary press contact, helping the theater develop stronger relationships with the press.
Create a PR strategy for each production to enhance sales efforts and single-ticket campaigns.
Support institutional messaging in all communications with the press.
Develop institutional campaigns to promote the theater’s mission, history, Board and staff leadership, new-play development, education programs, and special events.
Prepare PR kits for the press and coordinate press tickets, clippings, and review packets for each production and board meeting.
Support the writing and editing of all publications, including programs, e-newsletters, and website copy.
Coordinate copy and images (photos and artwork) to enhance all publications.
Work closely with all departments to ensure timely flow of information and integration of communications objectives. Create and distribute talking points and fact sheets to Board and staff members as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a confident communicator and presenter
Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including the ability to present concepts verbally.
Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
Superior project management and time management skills
A wide degree of creativity and latitude
Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
At least five years experience in communications, marketing, social media and/or public relations, preferably in the performing arts
Bachelor’s degree required.
