Role: Digital & Event Sales Specialist
Department: Sales/Promotion
Cumulus Media | Nashville is looking for a Digital & Event Sales Specialist. will work with and report to Sales Management in all areas related to Digital and Event revenue. Digital revenue consists of all C-Suite product offerings as well as the Cumulus Core Digital products while Event revenue consists of Cumulus Nashville originated events with their own independent P&L. The Digital & Event Sales Specialist will interact with and encourage Account Executives in their efforts to achieve their digital and event sales goals and attend client calls or meetings to help sell and close clients who are considering digital buys and event sponsorships as part of their overall marketing plan.
General Responsibilities:
• Act as the liaison and resource for digital C-Suite products and Account Executives.
• Act as the liaison between programming/promotions and Cumulus C-Suite products when the stations execute digital marketing campaigns.
• Create customized presentations of the highest quality for digital campaigns and event sponsorships to present to clients based on client meetings and feedback from Account Executives.
• Create Digital and Event packages to present to Account Executives who can then take those packages directly to their clients with slight modifications.
• Create, execute and manage timelines for digital campaigns that have been sold to clients.
• Create recaps of all station or cluster events that can be used to help sell the event the following year.
• Create sales recaps for clients who purchased event sponsorship and digital campaigns.
• Work with sales management to conceive, write and create new digital and event business opportunities.
• Work with management to create, manage and secure approvals for all event P&L’s.
• Attend and assist in sales and promotions meetings.
• Work with sales management to create and execute sales training related to digital and event sales.
• Adhere to station policies regarding pricing merchandising, commercial content, competitive product protection, etc.
• Attend meetings with Account Executives to help present and sell Event Sponsorships and Digital packages.
• Monitor digital and event competition and trends in the market.
• Work with Account Executives to fulfill and implement all Sweet Deal (online merchant) program including but not limited to the elements below.
◦ Be the liaison between Account Executives and Cumulus Corporate Sweet Deals team.
◦ Order Entry into Wide Orbit or Stratus
◦ Gather content for the web page associated with the client deal
◦ Provide necessary scripts for programming and promotions for each client deal
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, social networking platforms and basic audio/video Promotion tools
• Ability to learn new systems quickly
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent grammar and editorial skills
• Strong time management skills; adept at setting priorities
• Serious attention to detail, ability to multi task, juggle demanding deadlines, and work across departments
• Stress tolerance especially under pressure and with tight deadlines
• Effective collaborator with multiple levels within an organization
• Strong interpersonal skills
• 2+ years’ experience in broadcast digital media
