Job Summary
Responsible for supporting in development of media plans, results analysis and account management.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
40% Planning
• Foundational understanding of the media planning process, and ability to support Senior Strategist and Supervisor across a multitude of client deliverables
◦ Manipulate and analyze data, collaborate with supervisory team members to identify key insights and implications/optimizations (i.e. results reports, competitive assessments, target analysis)
◦ Facilitate the billing and budget maintenance process
◦ Create, format and update flowcharts and buy authorizations
◦ Collaborate on the development of POVs for new media opportunities, on an ongoing basis
• Comprehension of media math and terminology, with the ability to apply these concepts in real time
• Proficiency in systems and tools utilized for day-to-day planning and account management (i.e. billing system, media management system, targeting tools, competitive tools)
30% Client Relationship Management
• Ability to engage and effectively interact with clients and other Horizon departments, i.e. buying, traffic, operation Display foundational knowledge of a current/previous clients’ specific business and industry
• Assist in new business projects
30% Team Interaction/Performance Management
• Collaborate with Senior Strategist and Supervisor to identify problems and recommend solutions
• Keep Senior Strategist and Supervisor updated on the status and timing of deliverables
• Contribute to other junior team member(s) development (help train Assistant Strategists, onboard new Strategists)
• Set aggressive yet achievable performance goals for ones’ self

Knowledge and Skills Required
• Invested interest in the principles of advertising, marketing and media
• Highly organized with ability to manage and complete multiple deliverables within due dates
• Ability to work as part of a team and speak to concrete examples of past collaborative experience
• Strong written and verbal communication (ability to effectively and comfortably communicate and interact with clients and vendors)
• Proficiency in basic Excel and PowerPoint functions – with ability to recognize and discuss how those functions can or should be applied relative to the media planning process
• Proficiency in basic functions within systems and tools related to the media planning process referenced above (i.e. media management system, billing system, competitive and targeting tools)
Certificates, licenses and registrations
• Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in Media Studies, Advertising or related field
• Minimum 1 year media planning and/or account management experience
