WPTV in West Palm Beach Florida, is looking for its next great Creative Services Producer to support our late news. Do you love having time during the day to enjoy the beach? Does writing and editing great news promos come to you as easily as breathing the salt air at the ocean? Do you always put the audience first? The Creative Services Producer is responsible for writing and producing on-air promotions, proof of performance, and station sponsorship spots.
Key activities
• Produce promotion for night side on-air, social, and digital platforms
• Conceptualize, write, edit, and sometimes shoot on-air promotional spots for news, programming, social media, and special projects using multiple platforms
• Work with leadership to identify the most effective style and tone for creative
• Identify opportunities to target specific viewers in the production of creative
• Perform other duties as needed by management
Education & Experience/Certifications
• At least two years of news promotion writing, editing, shooting or equivalent experience
• High School diploma (or GED) required. Bachelors degree preferred.
• At least two (2) years professional broadcasting marketing/promotions/creative services experience required
• Strong working knowledge of Final Cut X and Adobe Creative Suite
Skills & Abilities
• Superb attention to detail, time management skills, and strong communication abilities
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with news, sales and marketing leaders
• Adept with social media and keep up with trends. Knowledge of social media maintenance.
• Able to work independently and with a team
• Able to take initiative and manage a flexible schedule with multiple projects and deadlines
• Understanding of Nielsen rating sheets
• Working knowledge of current creative suite for product development
• Knowledge of post production television editing suites, with emphasis on Adobe Creative Suite
• Working knowledge of MAC systems
• Experience working with camera, audio and light equipment
Work environment
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and a few weekends. Schedule may shift depending on need
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required. In addition, proof of insurance and liability coverage may be required.
