Description
The New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting & Sculpture welcomes applications for a Recruitment Coordinator to foster and grow the School’s enrollment and visibility. This full-time position (4 days per week, including occasional evenings and travel) is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, innovative candidate to join a great team and make a big difference in the arts community.
The Recruitment Coordinator will:
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies for School’s programs (MFA, Certificate, Drawing Marathons, Evening & Saturday, and Summer Sessions).
• Generate enhanced visibility for School through web-based advertising and marketing campaigns (including email blasts), conference attendance, off-site visits and mailings.
• Produce website updates and integration of new media strategies; maintain content on the School’s website.
• Plan, organize and implement the School’s Open House events.
• Maintain and create budget plans for advertising and all recruitment efforts.
• Produce posters, flyers, web and media material as required; design work included.
• Foster and maintain relations with cultural and academic institutions.
• Conduct on-site tours and meetings with potential applicants.
• Manage the School’s Social Media Accounts (Instagram, Facebook, twitter), including gathering content and images.
• Photograph courses and events for image archive.
• Manage the School’s blog and its content.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience in higher education, preferably in the visual arts, with demonstrated success in student recruitment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and sense of diplomacy when engaging with prospective students, both nationally and internationally.
• Facility with online communication technologies and web-based recruiting platforms, including Facebook and Twitter.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Photoshop, WordPress; HTML desirable.
• Highly organized, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
The Recruitment Coordinator reports to the Program Coordinator and the Dean, and works closely with Student Services Coordinator to implement a comprehensive strategy that identifies, attracts, admits, and enrolls highly qualified, diverse students.
