Job Description
The Starcom Advanced Analytics and Insights (AAI) team draws on the dynamic advertising technology space, digital and offline analytics, and evolving methodologies to address complex research and measurement challenges across Starcom client brands.
The Analytics Manager combines data-driven story-telling, business process analysis, and has a penchant for aligning clients’ operations to help clients frame decisions and drive actions. The successful candidate is a curious problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Act as a front-line liaison between the client and client team and research/consumer professionals throughout the agency and Publicis network
• Act as a resource for questions and further the capabilities with regard to syndicated planning tools including Nielsen TV Ratings, IMS, ComScore Media Metrix, eMarketer, Forrester, etc.
• Use appropriate technology, research systems, and tools to solve marketing problems in an accurate and timely manner
• Exhibit a mastery of media concepts, terminology, media math, and media plan execution
• Leverage secondary resources, including industry-wide studies, subscription services, and Client-housed studies to maximum potential through consumer-based insight.
• Be a catalyst for insight generation and articulation to strategy and activation teams
• Provide objective assessment and recommendation as to various research approaches, methodologies and tools on a brand-by-brand basis
• A particular eye toward digital research capability is expected
• Explore creative and compelling ways to tell stories with data
• Serve as primary support for a unique and proprietary collaboration and reporting platform linking reporting, tools and file sharing
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, or any other discipline in which strong analytic and strategic skills are cultivated
• 3-5 years of related marketing or media research experience
• Strong positive attitude, an entrepreneurial spirit, an analytical aptitude, an insightful eye, and strong organizational skills
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other business software
• Technical curiosity with the ability to learn new systems and programs quickly
• Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, including analytical abilities and statistics proficiency
• Critical understanding of online media, web analytics, exposure to Off-Line Media, as well as technology
• Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving and compelling story-telling skills
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Passion and knack for unlocking creativity, and designing meaningful ideas in real time
• Ability to work successfully with teams on multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfort with ambiguity and change
• Strong desire and expertise to work with emerging and/or digital media and Ad Tech
• Experience writing surveys and managing research vendors for custom projects
• Experience with media measurement tools including Nielsen, comScore, MRI as well as 3rd party ad serving, syndicated research and web analytics
