Job Summary:
Plan, staff, and manage the Product Quality Assurance activities for SG Gaming. Insure that products and services offered by SG meet both customer and company requirements. The position requires an ability to balance a lot of information, priorities, and tasks, across a number of areas. The incumbent is accountable for coordinating across all major initiatives, enhancements and maintenance changes as well as coordinating across the Enterprise to define and implement projects which lead to measurable improvements in the all product lines. This position reports to the Director of Quality and will provide QA, strategic direction, team leadership; resource management; technical, strategic and tactical oversight; prepare and present reports and metrics; ensure that standardized methods and procedures are followed and partner with all stakeholders, Project Management and business owners to meet the business objectives and priorities of SG. Manage testing of outgoing product, audit outgoing product including regulatory compliance checks, audit internal work products such as sales orders and configurations and bill of materials.
Position Requirements
Essential Job Functions:
• Plan, organize and manage all Manufacturing QA programs, processes and activities
• Provide strategic quality and continuous improvement related leadership for all assembly center site located in Las Vegas and other supporting sites.
• Visit and confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality, capacity of vendor to meet orders, and vendor quality standards.
• Create and deploy standard work instructions and routings with production specifications to drive consistency and reliability.
• Insure that processes and procedures are in place for all activities and that procedures are followed.
• Insure that data related to product quality are gathered, analyzed and reported to the appropriate parties.
• Participate in analyzing root causes of problems found and in developing countermeasures to remove the causes. Insure that defined countermeasures are implemented and are effective
• Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of QA methods and procedures used and undertake improvement projects to improve QA effectiveness and efficiency.
• Responsible for continuous improvement of business processes.
• Participate in Manufacturing and Engineering in the introduction of new products into Manufacturing
New Product Introduction Quality:
• Participate in manufacturing process development and implementation to ensure product Quality
• Support Launch Readiness Acceptance checklist (Manufacturing and Supplier)
• Develop appropriate manufacturing metrics, goals and action plans
Issue Resolution Management:
• Generate NCR records for all manufacturing, engineering and sourcing related issues reported by the operations team.
• Assist with timely shipment implementation of corrective actions in manufacturing
• Conduct a monthly manufacturing defect data analysis detect trends and opportunities
QMS & Process Compliance
• Communicate to partners and stakeholders on quality performance trends, current status and action plans
• Maintain ownership of Quality documents and procedures and ensure they are updated and stored in a centralized standard location.
Manufacturing Quality Governance
• Maintain weekly quality meetings with key stakeholders
• Support Monthly Operations Reviews from a quality perspective
• Support Quarterly Business Review with manufacturing quality data and perspective
• Monthly & Weekly report of Manufacturing Quality Status to upper management
• Conduct annual audit of SG Vegas manufacturing and follow up on findings to ensure proper closure and resolution
Factory Audit
• Execute factory audit (internal and external) process and gather metrics to measure trends and develop action plans
• Continually improve and streamline factory audit process takt time
• Incorporate Out of Box field issues into Audit checklist to ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management or Quality or equivalent years of experience.
• Lean Sigma Green or Black Belt [Black Belt Preferred]
Required Experience:
• 5 - 7 years of experience in manufacturing/assembly management.
• Formal training and practical experience in Quality, Lean, and/or 6 Sigma principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in presentation and proposal development for senior leadership.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Direct experience with capital improvement planning and business case development
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Demonstrated skills in planning and managing a QA function, and working a time-critical environment
• Manage, coach and mentor staff
• Product testing experience and quality principles proficiency
• Regulatory environment and their requirements.
• Ability to work across multiple organizations and with multiple levels in an organization.
• Proficient in data analysis, reporting and representations
• Knowledge of Oracle, Noetix preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
