Job Description
The Blue 449 Precision team is passionate about data and advocates for and trains communication planning teams to leverage live data to surface audience insights and uncover new audience segments. This highly focused team is dedicated to leveraging Ad Tech in order to achieve this goal.
Blue 449 is looking for a Programmatic Analyst to join our Precision team in Seattle. This position will support programmatic media reporting and analysis across multiple lines of business and report into an Associate Director. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and passionate about building and growing his or her career in the programmatic digital marketing field.
Responsibilities
• Provide subject matter expertise on programmatic analysis, DSP capabilities, and audience targeting
• Drive innovation, client learnings, and process adjustments in the programmatic field
• Bring together DSP, ad server, and verification data for analysis and optimization recommendations
• Perform analytics across DSPs and Channels to assess performance, audience delivery, quality and bid strategy
• Develop and maintain client-facing dashboard deliverables (daily, weekly, monthly) per campaign measurement requirements
• Proactively work with/support media teams to create data driven insights and recommendations for clients
• Identify opportunities to improve inefficiencies within current processes
• Troubleshoot day to day data issues and data discrepancies
• Perform advanced analytics utilizing data from multiple data sources
• Produce analytic outputs for entire campaign lifecycle (measurement plans, campaign wrap-ups, pre-campaign analysis, etc.)
Relationship Development
• Be the go-to analytics resource for the hands-on-keyboard programmatic traders
• Serve as main agency contact for clients and vendors on programmatic analytics
• Present analytical insights to clients on optimization recommendations in conjunction with media teams
• Lead programmatic analytics discussions with media and strategy teams
Financial Competencies
• Understanding of ROI from a client perspective
• Able to explain media financial / billing language and metrics
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree – Preferably in mathematics, statistics, science, marketing/advertising, or any related disciplines
• MBA or Advanced Degree a plus
• 2-3 years of experience in digital analytics, business analytics, or any comparable analytics position that handles large complex data sets
• 1 or more years of experience in the programmatic space either in analytics on the agency side or specific demand side platform experience working for DSPs, DMPs, PMDs or PMPs
• Experience working with log files from various digital platforms
• Understanding of digital processes and systems including Display & Programmatic and Social Media
• Knowledge of SQL, R, Python, SPSS, SAS or any other statistical analysis or data mining packages a plus
• High level of Excel competency (Macros, pivot tables, and formula integration)
• Knowledge of DSPs (DoubleClick, TradeDesk, AOL ONE, etc.), paid social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn), and familiarity of Social API tools such as Sprinklr, 4C, Brand Networks, Kinetic, etc.
• Experience working with business intelligence platforms such as Qlikview or Tableau a plus.
• Familiarity with verification technology (IAS, DoubleVerify, Moat) and application of verification metrics to understand the overall health and performance of media
