Senior/Lead
2D Artist –Unannounced Project
We’re a small team working on an unannounced project seeking a talented artist that can comfortably flex between 2D and 3D concepting .
We’re looking for someone who is excited about concepting and crafting stylized low-poly models. This artist must have a strong eye for 3D composition, lighting, and creating beautiful color palettes.
Given our current direction, we need someone who can take the seed of a style and really push and pull it into a Blizzard-quality look while remaining true to the game’s design goals.
Responsibilities
• Help establish the visual identity for the game.
• Work closely with Design and UI to create high-quality assets from concept to finish.
• Create 2D/3D environmental concepts that include landscape and architectural designs, props, as well as lighting color and studies.
• Create 2D/3D character and object concepts for every aspect of the project.
• Create UI concepts and icons.
• Create concepts and textures for visual effects.
Requirements
• Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude.
• Strong understanding of digital content creation tools like Maya, Photoshop, and Painter.
• Excellent 2D/3D concepting skills, deep understanding of composition, anatomy, color theory, values, form, shape language, and silhouette
• Able to carry an idea from the conceptual phase to the finished illustration and to full implementation if needed.
• A passion for video games
Pluses
• Have shipped AAA Mobile or PC titles as a concept/production artist.
• Strong foundation in the traditional arts, including but not limited to figure drawing, landscape painting, and illustration.
• Able to create visual effects.
• Able to create basic 3D animations.
• You have a “thing” by which you embrace your inner geek, be it cryptocurrency, fighting games, board games, or whatever else ignites your passion.
